Special message from Cardinal O’Brien:

SOS …. Support Our Seminarians…..

This week we celebrate Vocations Sunday: an opportunity to support our seminarians through ardent prayer and generous giving. As you know, our Archdiocese needs to find £146,000 to pay for the training of our nine current seminarians, and I ask you to support this need through your contribution in today’s special collection.

From Trinity Sunday, I ask that you make this a week of prayer for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life in your Parish.

I ask you all to pray frequently at that time, either as individuals or in groups, especially in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

Let us ask the Lord of the Harvest to help many people to hear the call of service to Priesthood and Religious Life. I also ask you to continue to support and pray for our priests as they serve you so generously throughout the Archdiocese.

Cardinal Keith Patrick O’Brien, Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh.

In your charity, please remember , Marlene Campbell, Gladys Docherty, Michelle Orr, and all the sick and housebound.

Nicolo Giovanni Biagini, Robert Clelland, Jeannie Darrien, Mary Hardie and Frank McGowan, whose anniversaries occur about this time.
