24 hour Prayer Vigils: We have received the following information from the ‘Trypraying’ Initiative:-
“As part of the Lent forty days of prayer under the ‘Trypraying’ Initiative, where forty churches around the Edinburgh area are holding consecutive 24hour prayer vigils, I would be obliged if it could be intimated at your church this Sunday, that such a vigil is being held in St Andrew’s church during the 24 hours of 16th February. All are invited to come for as little or as long as they want, for a time of prayerful reflection. Each hour will be started with a scripture reading, followed by a short time of worship. Thereafter, people will be left to the quietness of the sanctuary, with opportunities to light a candle and meditate. Full details of all churches involved in the 40 days can be found on the website www.thereishope.co.uk
