Easter Duty Time (reception of Holy Communion and, if necessary, Confession) continues until after Easter. A Plenary Indulgence is available for all who devoutly make the Way of the Cross during Lent.


Collections: The Offertory Collection last weekend realized £515.04, and the Special Collection, for the Papal and Episcopal Charities £393.68. Grateful thanks to all contributors and an especial thanks for the generous collection of £451, in response to Callum Timms’ appeal on behalf of the charitable work done by St Mungo’s school.

This makes the total giving last weekend of a magnificent £1,359.72.

A Lenten Alms Box is in front of the altar. Proceeds will go to charities of the Archbishop’s choice.

Storehouse Appeal: We are appealing on behalf of the Storehouse community project, for non-perishable foods, which will be collected and distributed to those in need in the town. Please leave your donations in the Hall and they will be taken to the Storehouse Unit in Links Court.

SVP News: A list of the SVP Holiday Caravans is available in the Hall, for any needy Parishioners who would appreciate a holiday.

R C I A Organising Group: We have received a letter from Patricia Carroll (Pastoral Resources, the Gillis Centre), asking if we would be interested in being part of an RCIA Organising Group who would help to organise events for Parish RCIA groups and also work with her in devising our own diocesan resources. The group will meet six times a year, and the first meeting will take place in the Gillis Centre on 6 May at 7.00 pm. Please see Maria Ford for further details.
