INAUGURAL MEETING OF THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

AS YOU KNOW, IT WAS DECIDED AT THE RECENT PARISH MEETING THAT WE SHOULD FORM, OR REFORM, THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL. I ASKED FOR VOLUNTEERS AND YOU HAVE RESPONDED BRILLIANTLY WITH 14 PARISHIONERS COMING FORWARD. WELL DONE AND THANK YOU.

I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE INAUGURAL MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY 20TH APRIL AFTER EVENING MASS AT 7.30PM AND WILL LAST NO LONGER THAN AN HOUR. YOU CAN FIND A COPY OF THE AGENDA, A DRAFT CONSTITUTION AND A DRAFT MISSION STATEMENT ON THE NOTICE BOARD IN THE HALL.

A NEW LIST OF VOLUNTEERS FOR THE COUNCIL IS ON THE TABLE IN THE HALL – IF YOU HAVE VOLUNTEERED, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE ALL OF YOUR CONTACT DETAILS. THERE IS ALSO AN INDIVIDUAL COPY OF THE DOCUMENTS FOR EACH OF THE VOLUNTEERS SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE A READ OF THEM BEFORE WEDNESDAY.       THERE IS STILL TIME IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO JOIN THE COUNCIL – JUST ADD YOUR NAME AND CONTACT DETASILS TO THE LIST. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR COMING FORWARD SO THAT WE CAN GET THE PASTORAL COUNCIL UP AND RUNNING.

Bo’ness Churches Together – Dates for your diary

Prayer Walk Saturday 14th  May. Pastor Frank Hartley to give further information.

Fun Day 21st May. Venue Newtown Park. 50p entrance fee for Adults. Children are free to enter accompanied by an adult.

Lots of free activities. St Mary’s will be holding a stall with a free game for children and selling Cake and Candy. Donations would be appreciated. More information coming soon.

Holy Week Services – collections will be shared between Alzheimer’s Scotland and Bo’ness Hospital.
