The Award recognises the efforts of young people to show their love of God and other people, through using the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. As a reward for their efforts the four children were presented with the Citizenship Award by St Mary’s School. Well done to Ava Clarke, Amy-Leigh Johnston, Sarah Mulholland and Matthew Mulholland.
Mary’s Meals: It’s nearly the end of another School year once again and many of our young parishioners will be swapping their old school bags and equipment for new.If you have any old backpacks / school bags in reasonable condition, these would be welcomed by Mary’s Meals for distribution in their schools. Just hand them in at Church! If you could add any equipment, this would help a really worthwhile cause!Among the many items needed are: Pens ● Pencils ● Crayons ● Sharpeners ● Rubbers ● Rulers ● Pencil Cases ● Jotters ● Balls (small) ● Backpacks ● Soap (not liquid!) ● Toothbrushes ● Toothpaste ● Hand Towels ●Shorts ● Polo Shirts ● T- Shirts ● Skirts ● Dresses ●Flip-flops ● Sandals ● Please note:- · Pre-used items are fine, as long as they’re in good condition! Clothing for children aged between 4-12 years is suitable. Please label your backpack to indicate whether it is suitable for a boy or girl, and suggest age. Please don’t include any liquids or other gifts such as toys or sweets, as these can cause delivery problems!
