SAVE THIS DATE: On Thursday 14th March 2019, Father Forrest will celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood, 60 years ago in 1959. As a parish, we will be celebrating this important occasion and we would like to extend an invite to everyone to join us.
On Thursday 14th March 2019, Mass will be celebrated at 10am with the schoolchildren from St. Mary’s and all are very welcome to come along. In the evening at 7pm, Mass will be celebrated with Archbishop Cushley and other clergy also in attendance. Again, you are very welcome to attend this celebration which will be followed by refreshments. On Sunday 17th March 2019, we will further celebrate Father Forrest’s Diamond Jubilee at the 10am Mass which will be followed by refreshments.
Over the coming weeks, the Piety Stall will have a range of cards available to purchase for this special occasion.
OTHER DATES FOR YOUR DIARY: 2019 World Day of Prayer. ‘Come – Everything is Ready’ written by the women of Slovenia. ‘Bo’ness Churches Together’ has organised this event in Craigmailen Church on Friday 1 March at 7:30pm. Refreshments will follow and all are welcome to attend.
On Friday 1 March the St Mary’s Nursery will be holding a ‘Flower Crown Workshop’ from 7pm – 9pm in the church hall. See the poster in the hall for details.
There will be a St Patrick’s Night Out at St Francis Xavier, Falkirk (note change of venue from last week)on 20thMarch. The cost is £12 to include a two course meal – bring your own refreshments! Anyone who wants to go please let Julia Cameron know as soon as possible.
The next meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) will take place on 20 March at 7pm in the hall. All are welcome.
A Bottle Bingo Evening will be held on Friday 29 March at 7pm in the church hall. Donations would be very much appreciated.
FELLOWSHIP OF THE LEAST COIN: If you wish to contribute, please leave a coin/coins on the table in the hall next to entering the church. St Mary’s contribution will be taken down to Craigmailen Church on Friday 1st March. All the Bo’ness Churches’ contribution will be collated and sent together. Thank you.
COLLECTIONS: The Offertory Collection last weekend realised £395.60 and the Second Collection £99.41. Grateful thanks to all donors. Thanks to the Music & Movement Group for a further donation of £25.
