Mass
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

We look forward to welcoming you to Mass at St. Mary’s!

Sunday Masses

For our Vigil and Sunday morning Masses, a friendly team of volunteers look forward to greeting you, and offering you a hymn book and missalette (a leaflet which contains all of the prayers and readings from this weekend’s Mass). You are then welcome to make your way into the church, sitting wherever you wish.

Our Sunday morning Mass also hosts a children’s liturgy during term time. Following the beginning of Mass, our priest will invite children of primary school age to make their way into the church hall where they will be able to listen to the readings from the Bible in a child-friendly way, before discussing and taking part in activities around this theme. Children then return to their families for the remainder of Mass.

We are also delighted to be able to offer the services of our parish minibus for anyone who may have any difficulty getting to Mass. Our minibus collects parishioners from around Bo’ness before Mass on a Saturday evening and Sunday morning, and returns them home afterwards. For more information, or to book a place on the parish minibus, call the church hall on 01506 510678. If no-one is available when you call, please leave a message.

Weekday Masses

For weekday Masses, the church will be open and you are welcome to make your way in. There is no music during weekday Masses, so hymn books are not required. Weekday Masses are normally celebrated at 10am on Monday, Friday and Saturday. Check our News page for any changes to this week's services.

When Father Forrest is unavailable to celebrate Mass during the week, a Holy Communion Service may be led by a layperson who has been commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Such services involve the Liturgy of the Word using the biblical readings for the day, and the distribution of Holy Communion which has been reserved in the Tabernacle. If a Holy Communion Service is scheduled, it will appear on our weekly parish newsletter which is shared on our website here.

Live Stream

We hope you will be able to join us soon, however if you cannot make it to St. Mary’s then please feel free to visit our live stream, where all of our Masses are broadcast!
