In your charity, please remember in your prayers Father Forrest, Jean Blair, Mary Robertson, Lisa Tucker, Jan Stewart and all the sick and the housebound. Also, Aberto Ostachini, Anna Kane, Michael McCullough, Addie MacPhail, Teresa Perec, Margaret McGeachan, Frank Maguire, James Hannah, Jean bell and Colin Elder whose anniversaries occur at about this time.
Dear Parishioners, the Holy Mass we celebrate is the greatest sacrifice ever made and the greatest prayer that can ever be offered to the Eternal Father. I encourage us to take consistent advantage of this privilege and request Masses to be said for our deceased loved ones and family members especially on the anniversaries, for ourselves and family members on birthdays, for the Sick and for divine intervention in different areas of our lives. Mass Intention envelopes will be made available for this. Thanks for your cooperation. Father Emmanuel.
The Offertory Collections last weekend amounted to £400.13, grateful thanks to all donors.
Father Emmanuel is holding an informal meeting with the Finance and Fabric Committee and the Parish Pastoral Council at 7pm on Wednesday 4th October. Father would also like to have a meeting with all the volunteers in the parish. So, if you volunteer in any way, or would be interested in doing so, please come along at 7pm on 11th October.
Fire Evacuation Exercise
Over the next few weeks, we will be conducting our annual fire evacuation exercise at both Masses.
The Catholic Parliamentary Office hosts ‘Free2Pray’, a webinar taking place at 7:45pm on Friday 3 October. It will highlight a bill in the Scottish Parliament that could result in the imprisonment of anyone who prays or offers help near abortion centres. It is vital that Catholics, and all concerned for freedom of speech and assembly, make a response to this dangerous Bill. Register for the session at bit.ly/free2pray
The National Safeguarding Conference takes place on Saturday 18 November in Glasgow. The event is for anyone who has a safeguarding responsibility in a parish. Register at bit.ly/3Z93und.

It takes place on Saturday 7 October from 10:00am - 3:30pm at The Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh, EH9 1BB. Details and registration at bit.ly/aviewfromwithin
Teams of Our Lady
Teams is a worldwide lay movement within the Catholic Church that aims to help married couples grow in their love of Christ and each other, recognising that Christian marriage is a precious gift that we need to nurture. Teams consist of four to six couples and a spiritual counsellor, often a priest, who meet roughly once a month in each other's homes becoming, over time, a strong supportive group. An open information evening takes place on Tuesday 10 October, 6:30pm - 7:30pm in Ss John Cantius & Nicholas Church Hall, Broxburn, EH52 5RJ.
