The Offertory Collections on 9th and 16th April amounted to £485.09 and £413.08 respectively - grateful thanks to all donors.
Congratulations to the children of St Mary’s and Sacred Heart Primary Schools who were confirmed here on Wednesday evening. It was lovely to see the church so full and busy and to welcome everyone as we celebrated the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the children! Just as at Pentecost over 2,000 years ago, may the Spirit now fill them with the gifts needed to do God’s work throughout the world!
Prepare for Pentecost Join this six-week online talk series to prepare and learn more about two major feasts at the end of Eastertide: Pentecost and Holy Trinity Sunday. Led by Sister Anna Marie McGuan RSM and Fr Kevin Douglas, it will take a closer look at what we believe about the Holy Trinity based on the writings of St Thomas Aquinas. St Margaret’s Pilgrimage 2023 St Margaret Pilgrimage returns to Dunfermline on Sunday 18 June. Mass is at 2:30pm in St Margaret’s Memorial Church in East Port, with Archbishop Cushley as principal celebrant. Prior to that there is an ecumenical service at 12:30pm in Dunfermline Abbey, followed by prayers at the tomb of St Margaret. Join people from across the Archdiocese and beyond to give thanks to God for St Margaret’s example of faith, charity and leadership.
Mass for Married & Engaged Couples Archbishop Leo Cushley will celebrate Mass for Married and Engaged Couples at St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh at 7:15pm on Wednesday 31 May. World Day of Prayer for Vocations Next Sunday (30 April) is World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Please pray that more men and women answer God’s call to the priesthood and the religious life. Called & Gifted Workshop Identify your charisms (spiritual gifts) and discern God’s call through the Called and Gifted Workshop. Rethink Abortion Training Day This day will help you clarify your own beliefs to become more effective and informed in real-life discussions about pro-life issues.
