ANNIVERSARIES - The following have anniversaries that occur at about this time:

Alexander Morrison, Mary Nawrocka, Leo McMoran, Sammy martin, Agnes Dewar, William Kelly, Catherine Foley and Chris Ward Birkby.

May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

COLLECTION - The Offertory Collections last weekend amounted to £344.15 - grateful thanks to all donors. We also received a donation of £20 towards the cost of the minibus – very many thanks. There will be a Special Collection next week (10th April) for SCIAF’s annual appeal.

CORRECTION – Last week we reported that our SVP Group had sent £5000 to the Ukraine Appeal; this should have read £500 – apologies from the Editor!

CHILDREN’S LITURGY - After two long years the Children’s Liturgy will restart at the 10am Mass on Sunday 24th April 2022 – we look forward to seeing you all back.

PRAYING FOR OUR SICK AND HOUSEBOUND PARISHIONERS - We would like to return to praying weekly for our sick and housebound parishioners at Sunday Masses, and including such prayer requests in our weekly newsletter. To add someone’s name to the list, please email info@rcboness.org or speak to any passkeeper. Please get agreement from the person concerned, and don’t forget to let us know if they no longer should be on the list.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE - The Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage is back! Demand is expected to be high for this popular and life-enhancing trip so booking now is recommended. It takes place from 8-15 July and will be led by Archbishop Cushley. All the details you need are at www.edinburgh-lourdes.com/lourdes22

GIFT AID - If you are a taxpayer and not currently in the parish gift aid scheme please consider joining; signing a simple form is all that is required. William McAllister or Tony Edwards can provide further details if you are interested in finding out more.

VOLUNTEERS FOR THE GARDEN - With Spring arriving the work on the parish gardens increases apace. There is currently only a very small group that regularly tend to our award winning grounds. More volunteers are needed to help spread the load – if you could even just give an hour or so of your time it would be such a great help.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE IN UKRAINE: O Loving God, your Son, Jesus Christ, came into the world to do your Will and leave us His Peace. Through the intercession and example of our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, grant us the wisdom and humility to reflect that peace to the world. Inspire our thoughts, words and deeds to bear witness to your presence in our hearts. May your Holy Spirit fill us with every grace and blessing so that we may pursue what leads to peace for all humanity. Amen
