The Offertory Collections last weekend amounted to £403.17 including a donation of £25 from the Music and Movement Group - grateful thanks to all donors.

The Beginning Experience The ‘Beginning Experience’ is holding a weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood. The weekend will take place from 30th September to 2nd October 2022 at the Conforti Centre, Coatbridge. Volunteers Needed! We are actively seeking additional volunteers to support the work of our parish. Could you help by reading at Mass or serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion? Are you able to spare some time to help maintain our church grounds? Or would you be willing to support our digital ministry, including the operation of our live stream camera during weekday or weekend Masses? All offers of support will be gratefully received and we would love to hear from you! Training and support are provided for all roles. Bo’ness Car4U is a newly formed local charity offering free and friendly hospital transport for cancer patients registered at any Bo’ness medical practice needing support to get to travel to hospital for treatment. Youth Pilgrimage the National Pilgrimage for young people aged between 16-30 takes place on Saturday 24 September in Dunkeld, Perthshire. It includes walks to holy sites, talks and Mass. A bus will leave from the Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh at 9:30am (£10). To book your place email yi@staned.org.uk.

Schola Cantorum sings MacMillan This recital takes place at 7:30pm on Monday, 15 August, at St Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh. The event will include composer Sir James McMillan discussing the relation between faith and music with Michael Ferguson, Director of the Schola Cantorum. Festival Mass Archbishop Cushley will celebrate the Festival Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral at midday on Sunday 21 August, followed by a reception in Coffee Saints café.
