In your charity, please remember in your prayers Father Forrest, Jean Blair, Mary Robertson, Lisa Tucker and Gerry Henderson and all the sick and the housebound. Also, Agnes Dewar, William Kelly, Catherine Foley, Chris Ward Birkby, Charlie Markey and James Temperley whose anniversaries occur about this time. And Jean Marie Ferguson who died recently.
Message from Father Forrest: A happy and holy Easter to you all, full of the joy of our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ. My sincere thanks to all who so kindly remembered me this Easter.
The Offertory Collections last weekend amounted to £388.40 - grateful thanks to all donors.
Gift Aid: If you are a taxpayer and not currently in the parish gift aid scheme please consider joining; signing a simple form is all that is required. William McAllister or Tony Edwards can provide further details if you are interested in finding out more.
Volunteers for the Garden: With Spring having arrived the work on the parish gardens increases apace. There is currently only a very small group that regularly tend to our award-winning grounds. More volunteers are needed to help spread the load – if you could even just give an hour or so of your time it would be such a great help.
SCIAF ‘Wee Boxes’: It is now time for the return of the ‘Wee Boxes’ – just leave them on the table in the hall.
Called & Gifted Workshop: Identify your charisms (spiritual gifts) and discern God’s call through the Called and Gifted Workshop. It is hosted by the Archdiocese in collaboration with the St Catherine of Siena Institute and takes place on Saturday 20 May from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Cost is £25 and includes materials, online access, and lunch. Details and registration at bit.ly/calledgifted2023
Prayer for Peace in Ukraine: O Loving God, your Son, Jesus Christ, came into the world to do your Will and leave us His Peace. Through the intercession and example of our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, grant us the wisdom and humility to reflect that peace to the world. Inspire our thoughts, words and deeds to bear witness to your presence in our hearts. May your Holy Spirit fill us with every grace and blessing so that we may pursue what leads to peace for all humanity. Amen
There will be teas and coffees in the church hall after Mass today. You are warmly invited to come along!
