We have received the following letter from the Falkirk Community Learning and Development Team:

“I’m Heather Kirby and I work with the Multiply Programme at Falkirk Council, funded by the UK Government to help improve the numeracy skills in our communities, by offering short courses using maths in practical contexts e.g. cooking, shopping, gardening, health and fitness and a range of other ways. They make a real difference to people – one learner reported that she had gotten ahead on her rent for the first time in her life. These are completely free and lead to an SQA qualification. They are open to anyone. I have attached details of some of the courses that are going to be running soon and invite you to share them amongst whomever you think will benefit. If you wish any further details, please get in touch.” Her contact details are Community Stadium, 4 Stadium Way Falkirk FK2 9EE, 07483 319039. There is also a poster on the table in the Hall.
