The Offertory Collection last weekend amounted to £442.25 in addition £345 per month is given through the direct debit facility. Grateful thanks to all donors.

 

RCIA – Join us for the upcoming RCIA sessions which are held at 7pm at St Mary’s. All are welcome whether you wish to become Catholic or to just learn about our faith. The next sessions will be held on 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st March. At Mass on Thursday just gone, our RCIA participants underwent the Rite of Acceptance, marking the formal beginning of their journey as Catechumens preparing for the sacraments at Easter. So,  congratulations to Isla, Ryden and Stacey !

 

Lent – Ash Wednesday is this coming Wednesday and the pupils from St Mary’s Primary School will be joining us at the 10am Mass. Throughout Lent there will be Stations of the Cross at 7pm on Tuesday evening at 7pm.

 

 The World Day of Prayer service this year is being held in St Catherine’s Church on Friday 7th March starting at 7pm. This year’s service is by the women from The Cook Islands and the theme is “I made you Wonderful”. You are all welcome to attend

 

Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) – there will be a meeting of the PPC at 7pm on 12th March 2025. All are welcome to attend.

SVP Caravan News: we have only been allocated one caravan so far this year, for Port Seton – Saturday July 5th, for one week. As it is a school holiday allocation, a family with school age children will get first preference. You may want to put your name in for any cancellations, which can crop up at short notice. Contact SVP for details. May we remind you that there is a ‘no pets’ rule in place.

 

The Scottish Jubilee 2025 Pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi takes place 5 to 12 September 2025, with four nights in Rome and three in Assisi. To register your interest, please contact Jim McKelvie at j.mckelvie@holyyear2025.org.uk or on 07957 847290.

 

The Archdiocese invites high school pupils to 'Rise in Faith, Live in Hope' at St Francis Xavier's Church, Falkirk, 11am-3pm on Saturday 15 March. The event will provide encouragement and inspiration to help them grow in their faith amidst the challenges they face. Includes Mass with Archbishop Cushley. Registration is via the Archdiocese website.
